This tutorial will show you how to draw Marge Simpson from the Simpsons TV cartoon. Marge is mom to Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson and she puts up with Homer. In my opinion, she's an all around woman and who could imagine the Simpsons without this blue haired lady.
Let's get started with our how to draw Marge Simpson tutorial. You will need a pen and pencil, a piece of paper and a good eraser. Let's go.
There is no better place to start our tutorial than by starting with Marge's signature hair style. First draw a circle for the face and a small neck. Add a couple of circles for the eyes. Then add a large "U" shape to the top of Marge's head. This will be the outline we use when we add details to Marge's hair later.
We are going to add the outline of Marge's dress. This is not too hard. It's basically two long curved lines that are connected at the bottom. Once you do that, we can move on to the next step where we will add Marge's arms and legs to her body.
We are going to add one of Marge's arm using a curve for the outside of the arm, and a wide "V" shape for the inside. The hand can be made using a "U" shape. After, you can add her legs and feet using a couple of curved llines for each leg, and a "U" shape for the foot.
Let's finish off Marge's shoes by adding a smaller curve line to make the shoes and then little "U" shapes to make the heels. You can add three fingers to Marge's hand and seven connected circles to form her necklace. Building off our face guide, add Marge's mouth and a "U" shape for her nose. Using lots of "C" shapes, we are going to do the details of Marge's hair. This make take some practice, but I know you can do it. Use your guide to help you. Last, add lines for the eyes lashes.
OK, now we can get our pen and ink the parts of the drawing we want to keep. Then, you can use your eraser to get rid of the pencil lines and guidelines that we do not want in our drawing. Once you have done that, you can add color.
And there you have it. Hopefully you enjoyed our how to draw Marge Simpson tutorial. The hardest part of the drawing is Marge's crazy hair. If you did not get it this time, you can try it again and keep practicing to improve your skills.
